Member in Good Standing:

In accordance with the Bylaw 1(1): Definitions of the Certified General Accountants Association of Manitoba:

"Member in good standing" means a member of the association who is not in arrears for any amount payable by him to the association and is not under suspension for any cause whatsoever, but does not include:

a student;
an honorary member.

Active Income:

Active income includes the following;

All employment and/or director's fees income.
Self employed business or professional business income.
Dividend income when that dividend income could be reasonably assumed to be the member's remuneration for work activity in the business (taking dividends instead of salary.)

Note: For all classes except Special and/or Parental Leave Status, active income is GROSS income from employment/business/professional business. For Special and/or Parental Leave, active income is GROSS income from employment but NET income from business/professional business. However, unreasonable manipulation of the net income numbers to achieve this status is strictly prohibited.
